PA Continues to Train and Arm Child Terrorists

Arutz Sheva January 13, 2003

Two Arab terrorists, youths aged 14 and 15, were killed by IDF troops this afternoon as they ran suspiciously toward a convoy of Israeli vehicles near Netzarim, a town in Gaza on Israel’s southern coast. IDF troops providing security for the Israeli vehicles saw that the youths were armed, opened fire and killed the two before a catastrophic attack could occur. IDF sources said the two young terrorists were armed with Kalachnikov rifles and grenades. The attempted attack occurred shortly after an anti-tank missile was fired at the bus. No injuries were reported in that incident.

Also in Gaza today, IDF armored tractors destroyed the road leading from Gaza City into Beit Hanoun, the PA-controlled town that has served as a base for the firing of mortars and Kassam missiles against Israeli towns and villages in Gaza and the Negev. The destruction of the road was a direct response to the three Kassam rockets fired into the Negev city of Sderot yesterday.

A force of D-9 tractors, accompanied by IDF troops, entered the Gaza area via the Erez checkpoint. IDF troops blocked the Beit Hanoun intersection as the tractors plowed an enormous ditch, about the width of the road itself, ensuring that the road stays blocked until further notice.
