(Israelnationalnews.com) Gaza terrorists attacked the Negev with a Kassam rocket Saturday evening, and dozens of leftists and Arabs rioted throughout Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, damaging property. The Kassam missile fell in an open area in the Eshkol region. Israel’s mass media followed their usual custom of not reporting on the rocket attack because it caused no injuries or damage.
Residents in the capital and in Judea and Samaria were less fortunate. Security forces used stun grenades and tear gas to disperse several violent riots. Arab terrorists burned down a house in the community of Abu Tur, south of the Old City of Jerusalem, after attacking Jewish residents with a Molotov cocktail. No one was injured. Border Guard policemen prevented the attackers from setting a nearby forest on fire.
Arab rioters in Jerusalem damaged several cars and homes in the Nof Tzion neighborhood in Jerusalem in rock throwing and firebombing attacks.
Security forces also fought with leftist and Arab rioters at the Karmei Tzur community, several miles north of Kiryat Arab-Hevron, and near Har HaBracha, south of Shechem in Samaria.
The violence followed by four days an ambush of a Jewish security guard near Ir David, across the road from the Old City. The escalation in violence coincides with the last hours of the 10-month building freeze that the Israeli government placed on new homes for Jews in Judea and Samaria in and effort to bring Palestinian Authority PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to resume direct talks with Israel on establishing the PA as a new Arab state in areas of Jerusalem and most or all of Judea and Samaria.
