Palestinian Terrorism: Kassams in the South, Stabbing in Jerusalem

Arutz Sheva July 24, 2003

In addition to the suspected kidnapping of the soldier Oleg Shchait,
the Palestinian terror war continues on different fronts as well.

In addition to the suspected kidnapping of the soldier Oleg Shchait, the
Palestinian terror war continues on different fronts as well:
IDF soldiers were targeted, but unhurt, by terrorist gunfire south of
PA-controlled Shechem early this evening… David Shilo, 40, of Jerusalem’s northern
Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood, was stabbed last night by Palestinian terrorists as
he rode his bicycle. He was listed in moderate condition, but has now been
upgraded to “light.” The police have arrested several suspects… A Fatah-Tanzim
terrorist was arrested this morning in Ramallah, not far from the Mukata. Two
wanted terrorists were apprehended in Hevron. Near Elon Moreh, Palestinians
fired on an IDF force; no one was hurt…

Two Kassam rockets were fired at the area of Kibbutz Nir-Am, southwest of
Sderot, on Tuesday night. The IDF announced it only last night. No one was hurt
in the attack, and no damage was caused. The army is searching for the rockets,
attempting to ascertain if they are of the “new and improved” version on
which the terrorists are working during this hudna period. The terrorists fired
nine Kassam rockets towards Sderot and environs in the last week of June, but
July has been quiet.
