A woman from El Azariya, an Arab neighborhood in Jerusalem, attempted to
smuggle a gun, two magazines, and a knife in her baby’s carriage this morning. She
was caught by IDF soldiers at the Hizme checkpoint near Pisgat Ze’ev,
Jerusalem, and is now being interrogated by security forces. The assumption in the
defense establishment is that the woman planned to use the weapons this very day
for an attack against Jews.
In Kadum, near Kedumim in the Shomron, a Tanzim terrorist was arrested early
this morning with two explosive devices weighing 14 kilograms and a gun in his
possession.
A Bedouin attempting to infiltrate the southern Judea community of Negohot
(eight miles west of Hevron) last night was shot and killed by a guard. Less
than three weeks ago, on Rosh HaShanah, 7-month-old Shaked Avraham and Eyal
Yeberbaum, 27, were murdered by a Palestinian Arab terrorist who infiltrated
Negohot. The would-be infiltrator of last night, however, was apparently interested
only in robbery.
