Israel Will Take Back Gaza Against Her Own Will March 2, 2008

“Israel on Saturday began delivering messages to senior officials in the United States, European Union, Russia and the United Nations that it did not intend to reoccupy Gaza, though continued terror might give it no choice.” (Haaretz Internet edition Sunday March 2.)

The great “peace” initiative launched by Sharon by unilaterally handing over all of Gaza to the PLO has become a bone in the throat of his successor, Ehud Olmert. Clearly Gaza has already become a huge nest of terrorists. Unlimited amounts of arms have been pouring into the strip from Egypt and Israel is being bombarded daily by rockets with ever increasing range and accuracy. Despite the efforts of the IDF to hit the leaders and bomb the rocket launchers, the attacks continue. Jewish civilians are being murdered by these attacks.

Our leaders certainly do not want to launch a major offensive, but they are running out of alternative options. They swear that they do not intend to take back the Gaza Strip, but at long last, the quote above shows that they may have reached the conclusion that there is no choice.

Had our leaders conducted themselves as true Jewish leaders none of this would have happened. Instead they all seem to be seeking a peace prize at the expense of self destruction. There is no desire on the part of our enemies to live in peace with us. They have taken every opportunity we have given them and used it to hammer more nails into our coffin.

Rather than run all over the world to apologize for our need to defend ourselves, we should take powerful steps to make it clear that the lives of our citizens take precedence to the lives of our enemies.

There is no need for a massive invasion of Gaza. The IDF should give the Arabs twenty-four hours to abandon all of Gaza. After that a massive bombing should be ordered. Those who choose to remain will be responsible for their own demise. We are already being accused of “war crimes” simply because we are defending ourselves. So lets get it over with, once and for all, and clean up the mess in Gaza. Let them call us all the names they want, but when they see that we can and will be ruthless when need be, it will save lives on both sides in the future.

Next we should inform the world that a two state solution is unacceptable. The Arabs have already erected a bandit state upon Jewish soil. Under no circumstances can we accept yet another one. Next, the IDF should give the Arabs in all parts of Israel two weeks to leave the country. Those who comply will be given financial and physical help.

Those who refuse will be thrown out, and those who lift a hand against our security forces will be shot. All of Judea, Samaria and Gaza should be declared as part and parcel of the Jewish State.

This will bring immediate condemnation upon our heads. But we already have that. Within two weeks, if we have the courage to stick to our convictions, the reality will sink in and our enemies will know that we cannot be defeated, neither by war, nor by “peace”. The miracles of the War of Independence and the Six Day War should have shown us that our G-d is fighting for us. And the misery we have inflicted upon our selves by handing over Gaza to our enemies should further show us that there is a heavy price to pay when we seek to make “peace” by denying our destiny. Gaza will come back to us, as will the other side of the Jordan, whether or not we want them.
